November 27, 1997-2022 Bay Gelding
Great Great Grandson of Misty Sire: Lightning of Chincoteague Dam: Misty's Black Mist Chesapeake Bay, nicknamed Chessie, is Black Mist's first foal. At the time he was born he was thought to be the first bay in the Misty line and in honor of that he was named Chesapeake Bay. Chessie was trained under saddle by the Allen's and was a member of the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team. He was sold to Danielle Gehman who rode him in 4H. For many years he was a beloved lesson pony at Knights Landing Stables in Pennsylvania where he taught many children to ride. He was gentle with the smallest riders and had enough get up and go for the bolder riders. Chessie was a very sucessful show pony with many ribbons to his name. After a good long life Chessie passed away summer 2022.
