Dawn is the third known foal of Sunshine. Her sire is unknown, but she was probably by a non Chincoteague stallion like her older and younger sisters. Dawn was born on Stolen Hours Farm in Florida, and was listed on the family tree in the Pictorial Life Story of Misty. Dawn was either sold or given away when Dr. Price had to break up Stolen Hours Farm.
