May 15, 1998 Black Pinto Chincoteague Pony Mare
Heart of the Bay was born on Assateague and is a half sister to feral mares Lady Hook and Destiny's Feathering Spirit. She has two striking blue eyes. One of Heart of the Bay's owners was Stag Creek Farm in Texas where she was bred to Cyclone II. Before she foaled she was sold to the Beach family of Walnut Hill in Avondale, Pennsylvania. There she foaled Winter Moon who was donated to the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company in 2018 and is now living feral on Assateague. Heart of the Bay spent part of 2018 in the pony pasture at the Refuge Inn. She has likely had other foals, possibly one by WH Clear Blue Sky as he was also in the Refuge pony pasture in 2018.
