Hurricane Izzy is the first foal of Misty II's Henry. She was born right before Hurricane Isabel hit the East Coast just south of Chincoteague, hence her name. Her dam "Tonka" was moved from Chincoteague back to the Allen farm in Pennsylvania to foal because of the threat of Hurricane Isabel.
Izzy had her first foal in 2008, a chestnut pinto colt named Nor'easter. Her second foal was born in 2010, a black pinto colt named Midnight Tempest.
Izzy can be seen at the Chincoteague Pony Centre in the summer months along with her sire and her half sister Misty III.
