March 30, 1983 Chestnut Filly
Great Granddaughter of Misty Sire: Thunder Dam: Misty II Lightning was Misty II's second known foal. Her sire was either her uncle Thunder or her cousin Cyclone, however due to her name it's likely her sire is Thunder as Lightning was also the name of Thunder's sire. She was sold at auction at four months old on July 26, 1983 by the Chincoteague Miniature Pony Farm in a special Diamond Jubilee Auction. The auction was written about in the Salisbury, Maryland newspaper. Lightning was sold for $875, the highest priced foal, to an A.J. Shultz of Reading, Pennsylvania. No more is known about her.
