Lightning of Chincoteague

Lightning of Chincoteague is a 12.3 bay pinto Chincoteague Pony stallion that was foaled in 1988. He was bought at the pony auction by the Allen family. He was the stud on their farm for many years siring quite a few Misty family: Partly Cloudy, Windswept, Colors of the Wind, & SunDancer all out of Wind Spirit, Chesapeake Bay out of Black Mist, Chance of Rain out of Rainbow, SunBeam out of Heat Wave, and most famously Misty II's Henry out of Misty II. Misty II's Henry resulted from an accidental breeding between Lightning and Misty II, as the Allen's didn't know Misty II was pregnant at the time of Henry's birth. Lightning was later sold to Lisa Cristian of Cool Winds Ranch where he has sired several foals there including Struck by Lightning.
