Sire: Cezanne

Dam: Misty's Desert Sun

Moonshine's Pedigree

Misty's Moonshine is Misty's Desert Sun's third foal, and is a full sister to Misty's Cloudbursts and Misty's Dust Storm. She is a cute chestnut minimal pinto filly. Moonshine got her name as she was found after dark, by "moonshine" and for the little moon marking on her face. Matt DesJardins went to check on Desert Sun and he found that she had foaled. Moonshine and her mother could be seen at an island hotel's pony pasture that year during the summer months.

Moonshine was purchased by Phil and Burta Boysen of 1000 Welcomes Farm in North Carolina, and spent several years there. She appeared on the cover of an issue of the SaltBlock Gazette. Moonshine returned to her home farm with the Allen's in Virginia in 2011. She has since been broken to ride.
