Morning Glory's Pedigree

Morning Glory is Black Mist's second foal and she inherited her mother's black pinto coat. Interestingly, she has one brown eye and one blue eye. Glory was a cute and frisky foal that developed to a beautiful and quiet mare. She and her parents were the subject of the 2001 Pony Penning poster by Kevin McBride. Glory has made Pony Penning week appearances at his art gallery on Chincoteague for several years.

Glory has been trained under saddle and has taken part in the Pony Centre's nightly shows, is part of the Chincoteague Drill Team, as well as given pony rides to small children. She is pictured alongside nine other Misty family members, including her dam, in the book Horses in Living Color by Barbara Livingston. Morning Glory can be seen at the Pony Centre during the summer.

Morning Glory's first foal was a black pinto gelding born in 2005 named Misty's Morning Sunrise and sired by Island Wildfire. Her second foal was a chestnut filly named Red Dawn born in 2011 sired by Tuffer Than Leather.
