October 4, 2005 Bay Pinto Gelding Great Great Great Grandson of Misty Sire: Lightning of Chincoteague Dam: Misty's Chance of Rain Struck By Lightning's Pedigree Misty's Struck by Lightning, nicknamed Bear, is a bay roaned pinto gelding. He was a complete surprise to his breeder Lisa Christian. Her stallion, Lightning of Chincoteague, apparently had a secret meeting with his daughter Misty's Chance of Rain and the result was Bear. He is Chance's first foal. Bear lived at Cool Winds Ranch in Texas until July 2007 when he traveled from his home in Texas to Chincoteague. He then was sold and spent time as lesson pony at Knights Landing Stables in Pennsylvania alongside family member Misty's Chesapeake Bay. Bear was purchased from Knights Landing in October 2012 by Michaela ArnTessoni of West Chester, PA. Bear and Michaela competed in mounted games through Mounted Games Across America.
