Wesley Dennis drew from real life and he perfectly captured Beebe Ranch. Here's one of his illustrations of Grandpa and Grandma Beebe's house and a photo of the house in 1995. The 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒖𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒏𝒚 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎 performing at Kentucky Horse Park in the 1990s. Misty's Black Mist, Misty II, Misty's Rainbow, and Misty's May Day Twister are pictured. The Drill Team has an opportunity to perform there again later this year. Descendants of the pictured ponies will be traveling. The sculptor Chris Hess often sculpted from photos and illustrations. We're often asked about Sea Star and his place in Misty's story. It's still an inn today and has this historical marker out front. The room that Marguerite stayed is a guest room called the Marguerite Henry Room.
