Coinciding with Breyerfest weekend is Equilocity, a similar multi day event of model horses run by Stone Horses (also known as The Peter Stone Company). Formerly of Breyer and the Misty of Chincoteague Foundation, Peter Stone created his own line of model horses for the distinguished collector. A few Misty family ponies have been issued by Stone Horses in the past, commissioned by their owners when such a thing was possible. Nightmist was created in 2003 with a run of 100, and distributed by Nightmist's owner, Mike Pryor. A one of a kind model was made of Misty's Hurricane Izzy through the Portrait Horse program which no longer exists. https://stonehorses.com/ for more information on the line of models at Stone Horses.

Pictured is Misty II in the 1990's posing at Kentucky Horse Park. She's the only grandfoal of Misty to have a Breyer model. Articles about her reported that she was a blood relative of Misty and was one of the movie Mistys. How exactly the filly was related to Misty we don't know. She was raffled off and disappeared into obscurity. The much more famous Misty II was Stormy's 1974 daughter. Some non-Wesley Dennis illustrations of Phantom are of a solid flaxen chestnut because of her portrayal. After the movie was filmed she lived at Burton's Ranch. The barn she lived in is now the Country Store at Tom's Cove Campground. She greeted tourists alongside a movie Misty and had at least one foal.  |
