Siding shingles from the Beebe Ranch home of Ralph and Jeanette Beebe. They were then made to look like the lost stall signs. The shingles were removed during the recent renovations, made into these art pieces, and the Museum of Chincoteague Island sold them in a fundraiser during Pony Penning week.
Did anyone else buy shingles during the fundraiser?

Original stall signs of Misty and her first foal Phantom Wings on display at Beebe Ranch. The signs were unfortunately lost in the 2019 barn fire.
Ran across this interesting mention of a visit of Misty and Stormy to a school in Glassboro, NJ. This appeared in the Gloucester County Times on May 18, 1962. The local news WCAU-TV was on hand a filmed a news report. No luck in finding the video in a quick search. Hopefully it still exists out there somewhere!
A really great picture of Misty and Marguerite Henry. It's from the Michigan paper The Saginaw News on January 6, 1952. The photo accompanied an article promoting a Marguerite Henry speaking to the Saginaw Branch Association for Childhood Education.
Misty's first foal Phantom Wings as a stallion at Beebe Ranch. Ralph Beebe is holding him.
More about Phantom Wings: www.mistysheaven.com/phantomwings.html Misty at Marguerite Henry's Mole Meadow in Wayne, Illinois. From The Horn Book Magazine, January/February 1950.
A pretty illustration from Wild Horses by George Edward Stanley that's meant to depict Misty. The color is right and the pattern is mostly, but has the circle around the eye from the cover of Misty of Chincoteague that the real Misty didn't have.
The picture of Misty taken by Barbara Selfridge from the previous post also appeared on memorabilia other than postcards. The first photo is a hot pad or trivet. The second is a beer stein!
This is a postcard of Misty sold by the Chincoteague Miniature Pony Farm. The picture was taken by Glassboro, New Jersey teacher Barbara Selfridge. It was during Misty's tour to thank her public for donating to replenish the herds on Assateague after the March 1962 nor'easter.
Check out this neat postcard of Misty and Stormy and their Museum of Chincoteague Island display. The museum is currently selling this postcard so grab one the next time you visit!
