Misty's daughter Stormy at the Chincoteague Miniature Pony Farm with our friend Celina. This picture appeared in The Baltimore Sun on July 22, 1988. Stormy was 26 years old that year. She greeted thousands of visitors during her many years at the farm.

Back in July 2003 the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team presented the Chincoteague Island Library with a signed copy of Misty of Chincoteague. And with a framed photo of Misty, Phantom Wings, and Marguerite Henry. Both items are still in the library's collection.
Marguerite Henry aboard Misty in a photo from the Detroit Free Press on October 25, 1949. Marguerite usually didn't ride Misty herself so there aren't a ton of photos of her riding Misty. Misty is standing on a stool as a trick. Most of her descendants perform that trick today!
The Channel Bass Inn is one of Chincoteague's Bed and Breakfasts. In Marguerite Henry's 1992 book Misty's Twilight the Price family stayed here when they visited for Pony Penning in the 1970s. And bought Misty's Twilight's dam Sunshine while they were there.

And this July performing at Breyerfest as part of the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team!
Misty's Thunderstorm on Misty's Heaven: https://www.mistysheaven.com/thunderstorm.html Misty at her goodbye party at Marguerite Henry's home in Wayne, Illinois in 1957. Misty lived at the small farm Mole Meadow for 11 years. Marguerite Henry had promised Grandpa Beebe to send Misty back to Chincoteague to have foals. Don Leonard drove to Illinois to drive Misty back to Chincoteague. Life Magazine was at the party and took this photo for an article that was published June 10, 1957.
Misty's May Day Twister was the foal model in a 1996-1999 Breyer Model Horses set with her dam Misty II and her half sister Misty's Black Mist. Here she is as a foal in 1991 and then wearing her Breyer blanket in 2008. Twister was the last living descendant of Misty that had a Breyer model. Hopefully there will be another one day in the future!
Misty's Twilight, published in 1992, was the last Misty book written by Marguerite Henry. She wrote this letter to our friend Kendy Allen about finishing it. Marguerite was very excited about her new book! It was originally written in first person as this excerpt shows. At the urging of her editor she rewrote it to the third person that was published.
