It was always special to see these two golden girl sisters together. Misty's MayDay Twister is on the right and Misty's Heat Wave is on the left. Both were daughters of Misty's SunPiper and Misty II. They're pictured here at the Chincoteague Pony Centre in 2009. They passed away in 2016 a few months apart.

Their names used to be on a plaque on the base, but it was lost to time. At least one other Misty mounted on a base like this is known to exist.

Photo from the Intelligencer Journal on August 10, 1988. The Franklin Mint company produced this china Misty in 1988 as part of their famous literary horses series. The model's markings closely match the real Misty. The color wavers between chestnut and palomino.
