An illustration from True Animal Stories: Hero Horses by Sue Welford. A pregnant Misty is being led through the floodwaters of the 1962 nor'easter. Of course this storm and the foal Misty was carrying during it was written about Marguerite Henry's book Stormy, Misty's Foal.

A signed book owned by our friend Kendy Allen. It's signed by Jeanette Beebe, wife of Ralph Beebe. What makes it really neat is she wrote out Misty's foals and grandfoals at that time with their birthdays.
Museum of Chincoteague Island now owns the Beebe Ranch home of Jeanette and Ralph Beebe. The museum is working on restoring the home and rebuilding the barn that these ponies lived in. Throw a donation the museum's way to help in these efforts! Souvenir puffy stickers from the Chincoteague Miniature Pony Farm. There's Misty, Stormy, and Cloudy. Also the Miniature Horses Pancho, Pitt, and Sandy. The pictures these are cut out of are also found on postcards. These are probably the most common non-postcard souvenir from the old Pony Farm that pops up.
A rare photo of Misty's sire Pied Piper. Standing with an unknown pony and a couple of saltwater cowboys. The photo is from the papers of acclaimed Chincoteague historian Victoria Pruitt.
Thanks to Chincoteague Pony History for digging up this photo! We're hoping a better copy of it will be found one day. It's near where Misty lived, but wasn't part of Marguerite Henry's Mole Meadow farm. The park was named in a 1997 contest by Wayne Elementary School.
