One of the rarest versions of Breyer's Misty model is a chalky. Chalky means it has a white basecoat underneath the model's paint. In the mid 1970s Breyer had to use whatever color plastic that was available rather than the usual white. Sometimes they were made of ground up rejected models. So they had to paint the model white before finishing the model. Some chalkies are rarer than others and Misty is one of the rarest.
This particular model belongs to our friend Lauren Hoeffer. It can also been seen on our page Breyer's Misty Family: https://www.mistysheaven.com/breyermisty.html
