Misty's 1949 Half Brother Stormy

A common question we're asked is if Misty had any siblings. She absolutely did as Pied Piper was a herd stallion and Phantom likely had more foals. This little guy's picture was collected by Victoria Pruitt and the caption states he's Misty's half sibling. He was born in 1949 and his name was Stormy (yes the same name as Misty's daughter!). Ms. Pruitt also wrote that he was owned by Mr. Hurley of Seaford, Delaware.

We don't know which side of the family he shares with Misty. Our guess is he's a son of Phantom. Stormy appears to be black like Phantom was. It's generally more common for half siblings to be referred to as such when they share the same dam. Pied Piper had many foals so Stormy would be more notable to be documented like this if he was a son of Phantom. We could be wrong but we like the logic.
