Misty's Goodbye Party

Misty at her goodbye party at Marguerite Henry's home in Wayne, Illinois in 1957. Misty lived at the small farm Mole Meadow for 11 years. Marguerite Henry had promised Grandpa Beebe to send Misty back to Chincoteague to have foals. Don Leonard drove to Illinois to drive Misty back to Chincoteague. Life Magazine was at the party and took this photo for an article that was published June 10, 1957.
