Regular Run Misty's
Misty is Breyer's longest running model and has been in continuous production since 1972. Misty is often paired with Stormy and/or a copy of Misty of Chincoteague.
4 Eyed Misty
Production: 1972 only. #20.
This version was the first, and is also the rarest. It has white spot around the right eye and a brown spot on the left. Marguerite Henry didn't like the circle around her right eye so it was changed. The pinto pattern does not resemble the real Misty. This version was produced in glossy with the matte version being rarer.
3 Eyed Misty
Production: 1972-1973. #20.
The second version is almost same as the first but it does not have a spot around Misty's right eye. Marguerite Henry did not approve of this version as well and was discontinued. Pinto pattern does not match the real Misty. This version was produced in glossy and matte with the glossy version being rarer.
Common Misty
Production: 1973-2006. #20.
This third version is common and has a different pinto pattern which closer resembles the real Misty. Palomino or chestnut pinto mare, color depending on individual model. The model still has the brown spot around her left eye, which the real Misty did not have. This version was produced for over three decades and because of that there are many variations in shade and small pattern differences. Other variations of this pattern include semigloss, bi eyes produced only in 1997, and chalky. A very rare Misty on a presentation base was presented to Kendy Allen in 1990 for her work with Misty II.
Bi-Eyed Misty
Chalky Misty
Modern Misty
Production: 2007-current. #1286 and #1157.
The fourth version is mostly the same as the previous pattern, but has a shaded and darker palomino color. Most have eyewhites. Has only come in a set with Stormy and a paperback copy of Misty of Chincoteague. There's some variation in color and pattern. Misty's eye circle varies in size.
Misty as a Foal
Production: 2022-current. #1863. This set was produced in commemoration of Misty's 75th Birthday. Traditional sized (1:9 scale).
Palomino Pinto. On the Stormy mold. The markings on baby Misty's model are accurate compared to photos of the real pony, unlike the adult Misty models.

Misty's Pattern
Her pinto pattern has been used several times in different colored models for one of a kind test runs. A one of a kind gold Misty was auctioned in 2023 to benefit the Museum of Chincoteague Island's purchase of Beebe Ranch.
The 4 eyed Misty pinto pattern was used again once on a bay named Coral produced for Breyer's Vintage Club in 2015.
