Regular Run Stormy's
Stormy is Breyer's second longest running model, having been in production continuously since 1977.
Original Stormy
Production: 1977-2006. #19.
Chestnut pinto. Traditional sized or 1:9 scale.
The model of Stormy looks exactly like the real Stormy. Unlike Misty, Stormy's pattern remained largely the same but due to being produced for so many years there are many variations in shade. There's some variation in the shape of the crescent star. Stormy came in variations of matte, semigloss, and bi eyes produced only in 1997.
Modern Stormy
Production: 2007-current. #1157 & #1286. Misty and Stormy are in a box set with a paperback copy of Misty of Chincoteague. The pattern is the same but the color is more shaded. Most have painted eyewhites.

Stormy's Pattern
Variations of Stormy's pinto pattern has been used in different colors on other models such as bay Toys R' Us special run Skeeter in 1995, black holiday pony in 2010, and glossy bay Reef for Breyer's Vintage Club in 2015. A couple of one of a kind test runs have also been produced in different colors using Stormy's pinto pattern. A one of a kind gold Stormy was auctioned in 2023 to benefit the Museum of Chincoteague Island's purchase of Beebe Ranch.
