George is a chestnut pinto colt and the first known foal of his dam. He was born at the Leonard Farm on Chincoteague. He got the nickname "Curious George". George spent the summer at the Refuge Inn's pony pasture greeting visitors before being sold to a new home. His new owners decided to call him George.
