Misty's Meadow

Three acre park and natural area at the corner of Army Trail Road and Dunham Road. The property was not part of the farm where Misty lived but is named in tribute of the famous former resident of the Village of Wayne. The name Misty's Meadow won in a 1997 contest conducted by Wayne Elementary School to name the park.

Mole Meadow

Marguerite Henry's home Mole Meadow is along Army Trail Road between the railroad tracks and Dunham Road. Misty once escaped and ended up on the railroad tracks. The original home and barn that Misty of Chincoteague paid for still stand. The home is a private residence and the exact address is unavailable.
