WH Sundance, better known as just Sundance, was a palomino pinto mare living feral on Assateague Island. She was bred by the Beach family of Walnut Hill in Avondale, Pennsylvania. She has a full sister named Mystic born in 2016. Sundance was donated to the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company in 2018. She is the dam of WH Surf and Sun who is also living feral on Assateague. Sundance had two foals on Assateague sired by Don Leonard Stud II; 2020 palomino pinto gelding Misty's Sunstone and 2021 palomino pinto filly SCC Misty's Sunburst who was kept for the feral herd. Sundance unforuantely contracted pythosis summer 2021. Her case was unable to be successfully treated and she was euthanized.
