Midnight Tempest is the second foal of Misty's Hurricane Izzy. He shares his sire's black pinto coat. Tempest appeared with Izzy at the Chincoteague Pony Centre during the summer of 2010.
Tempest was sold to Becky Long-Chaney and her twin daughters. He was sold along with another son of his sire, Pippin. Tempest joined their family on Christmas Eve 2010 as a surprise gift to the girls while sporting a bow and reindeer antlers.
