January 12, 2012 Bay Pinto Mare Great Great Great Granddaughter of Misty Sire: Cyclone II Dam: Heart of the Bay Winter Moon's Pedigree Winter Moon is a bay pinto mare by Cyclone II living feral on Assateague Island. She was concieved in Texas at Stag Creek Farm and her dam was sold in foal to Walnut Hill in Pennsylvania where she was born. Winter Moon was sold to the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company in 2018. Winter Moon had the first Misty descendant to be born as part of the feral herd on Assateague on April 8, 2019. The bay pinto filly CLG Maureen's Misty Moon sired by Don Leonard Stud II, she was to remain part of the feral herd but died as a yearling. Winter Moon has had a bay pinto colt 2021 named Misty's Mountain Moon and a bay pinto filly named Dancing in the Moonlight in 2022 also sired by Don Leonard Stud II.
