Nightmist Legend is one of the first foals of Nightmist and Gentle Breeze, and shares his sire's black and white coloring. He had named "Mountain Dew" for the Pepsi Company that sponsors Mike Pryor and his Nightmist tour. However, when Nightmist died in 2009, the name was changed to "Nightmist Legend" to honor the stallion, though his barn name is still "Dewy".

Dewy was trained under saddle by Jennifer Longwell and she has been his usual rider. He has also attended clinics by Tommie Turvey and is learning tricks by the renowned trick rider. Dewy will also being taking his father's place in spreading Misty's legacy, and appeared at the Beebe Ranch in 2009.
