Misty's Moon Shadow, nicknamed Peanut, was Misty's Twilight's last foal. She was a flashy frame overo pinto who was born and spent the first part of her life on Stolen Hours Farm with her famous dam. She is the first known fame overo pinto in the Misty line. Peanut was a spunky mare who loves attention. She was named Moon Shadow because her face is almost half chestnut half white. Peanut also had one blue eye. A foal photo of her was on the International Museum of the Horse website for several years.
Moon Shadow spent the latter half of her life with Lorie Nazzaro. They adored the gentle mare and she them. Moon Shadow was so gentle Lorie's grandchildren could climb all over and under her without the mare moving at all. Moon Shadow unfortunately passed away of colic in 2017.
