Nora is the dam of Sandpiper, Phantom Wings's only documented foal. Very little is known about Nora aside from her being listed in the Pictorial Life Story of Misty as the dam of Sandpiper. Nora was one of the Beebe Ranch herd mares and was owned by Ralph Bebe. When Nora's colt was tangled and stuck in a fence she waited faithfully nearby until he was freed by the Walker family. Her colt in good hands, she then she returned to her herd. At that time Nora didn't have a name. Mr. Walker named her after his wife Nora.
