Lightning is the sire of 1964 palomino gelding Cloudy out of Wisp O' Mist, 1967 palomino pinto stallion Thunder out of Stormy, and 1972 bay mare Breezy out of Stormy. He is listed as the sire of Windy, but she was actually sired by a Thoroughbred.
Unfortunately little is known about Lightning aside from what is listed on the family tree in the Pictorial Life Story of Misty. Lightning was probably owned by Ralph Beebe and sired other foals on Beebe Ranch. We think he was a buckskin because he sired palominos and a bay.
