Misty's Morning Glory is Black Mist's second foal and is her mother's daughter in color, temperament, and talent.. She has one brown eye and one blue eye. Glory was a cute and frisky foal that grew into a beautiful and kind mare. She and her parents were the subject of the 2001 Pony Penning poster named Misty's Morning Glory by Kevin McBride. Glory and her parents are also in the painting Cezanne's Legacy also by McBride. Glory has made appearances at his art gallery, The Osprey Nest, on Chincoteague since she was a foal.
Morning Glory's first foal was a black pinto gelding born in 2005 named Misty's Morning Sunrise sired by Island Wildfire. Her second foal was a chestnut mare named Misty's Red Dawn born in 2011 sired by Tuffer Than Leather. Glory's third and last foal Misty's Blue Morning was born in 2020 and sired by Chesapeake Powhattan's Promise, a bay pinto gelding that shares his dam's blue eye.
Glory appeared for many years at the Chincoteague Pony Centre, performing at the pony show and giving riding lessons. She is pictured alongside nine other Misty family members, including her dam, in the book Horses in Living Color by Barbara Livingston. During Pony Penning 2018 Glory appeared live on the Today Show on NBC. She lives at Kerkaken Acres with her family herd. Morning Glory is a longtime member of the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team. She traveled with her brother Misty's Irish Mist, nephew Misty's Thunderstorm, and the rest of the Drill Team to Kentucky Horse Park to perform in August 2024. Glory was one of the Drill Team ponies performing at Breyerfest 2025.
