WH Sundance's Pedigree
WH Sundance, better known as just Sundance, was a palomino pinto mare that lived feral on Assateague Island. She was bred by Jim Beach of Walnut Hill in Avondale, Pennsylvania. She has a full sister named Misty's Mystic Sunrise. Sundance was sold to the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company in 2018. She's the dam of 2017 WH Surf and Sun who was also sold to the CVFC and is living feral on Assateague. Sundance had two foals on Assateague sired by Don Leonard Stud II; 2020 palomino pinto gelding Misty's Sunstone and 2021 palomino pinto filly SCC Misty's Sunburst who was kept for the feral herd. Sundance unfortunately contracted pythiosis summer 2021. Her case was unable to be successfully treated and she was euthanized.
