Misty's Midnight Tempest, Tempest and later Allen for short, is the second foal of Misty's Hurricane Izzy. He shares his sire's black pinto coat. Tempest appeared with his dam at the Chincoteague Pony Centre during the summer of 2010. Tempest was sold that summer to Becky Long-Chaney and her twin daughters. He was sold along with another son of his sire, Pippin. Tempest joined their family on Christmas Eve 2010 as a surprise gift to the girls while sporting a bow and reindeer antlers.
Tempest returned to his birth herd briefly in 2015 where he reunited with his half brother Misty's White Out. He then departed to a new home in Colorado with working cow horse trainer John Synder, who is an old friend of the Allen's. In his Colorado home he was trained to ride, drive, and work cattle. He ended up being sold to the Leathers family, Joe Leathers is the manager of the world famous 6666 Ranch in Texas. Now having the name Allen, he lived at the Sixes Ranch. Collen Ellezy met him while interning at the Sixes. She was given the opportunity to purchase Tempest from the Leathers family. Tempest now lives with Colleen at Rose of Sharon Ranch in Arkansas with a herd of other Chincoteague Ponies. She plans to use him in their literacy program.
