Stormy Mist was Foggy Mist's last foal and she was born on a farm in Maryland. Her new owner had called her several names, such as Sunkist Mist and Foggy's Miss Desert Storm. Her owner decided on the final name of Stormy Mist in honor of her grandmother Stormy who died in 1993. It is believed that Stormy Mist died from colic at a relatively young age.
