WH Salt Marsh, nicknamed Marshal, was born on Assateague. His parents Archer's Gambit and Surfer Dude's Gidget still live feral on Assateague. He was sold for $2,000 to Jim Beach of Walnut Hill in Avondale, Pennsylvania. WH Salt Marsh is the sire of 2017 dark chestnut mare WH Surf and Sun, better known as Surfette, out of WH Sundance. WH Surf and Sun is living feral on Assateague. Marshal has sired other foals. He was loaned to the Leonard family on Chincoteague in 2023 and sired chestnut pinto gelding Salty McGeorge out of Star in 2024. In 2025 he's sired black pinto filly Waves of Chincoteague out of Star, and chestnut filly Misty Moonlight out of Miss Corona.
