Drizzle was Foggy Mist's fifth foal and the last foal of hers to be born on the Chincoteague Miniature Pony Farm. When he was a few months old Drizzle and his mother were purchased by Rainy's new owner and went to live on a farm in Maryland. Drizzle's name had been Maelstrom at the time, named by Celina Boltinghouse. His new owner had trouble pronouncing it so she re-named him Drizzle. He was intended to be a breeding stallion when he came of age but unfortunately died of colic before this could happen.
