Al-Marah Sunny Jim was a beautifully bred chestnut Arabian stallion by Al-Marah Schahriar and out of Mygida. His dam is a a full sister to National Champion sires Imaraff and Raffi. He was bred to Stormy to produce 1973 chestnut mare Rainy and 1974 chestnut pinto mare Misty II. Al-Marah Sunny Jim was donated to the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Department in 1965 and was bred to mares from Assateague. He was kept at a farm on Chincoteague and it's rumored he was released on Assateague at some point. His descendant Winter Moon via Rainy is living on Assateague. He likely has other untraced descendants still on Assateague.
