Misty's Hurricane Izzy is the first foal of Misty II's Henry. She was born right before Hurricane Isabel hit the East Coast just south of Chincoteague, hence her name. Her dam "Tonka" was moved from Chincoteague back to the Allen farm in Pennsylvania to foal because of the threat of Hurricane Isabel. She was the last Allen Misty pony born on their Pennsylvania farm. Izzy made her first appearance on Chincoteague in 2005. An article about her first summer at the Chincoteague Pony Centre appeared in the Chincoteague Beacon. She spent many summers at the Chincoteague Pony Centre greeting visitors.
Izzy's first foal is mostly white chestnut pinto gelding named Misty's White Out sired by Cezanne foaled in 2008. Her second foal was born in 2010, a black pinto gelding sired by Tuffer Than Leather and named Misty's Midnight Tempest. Her last foal is bay pinto mare Misty's Eye of the Hurricane sired by Chesapeake Powhattan's Promise born in 2015. Her daughter is nicknamed Izzy Wizzy due to her great resemblance to Izzy.
In December 2015 Izzy retired to Taft, Tennessee and is now owned by Misty's Heaven administrator Amanda Geci. She is a very spoiled and beloved pet and has learned a few tricks showing an affinity for liberty work.
