Don Leonard Stud II, or DLS II for short, is a chestnut pinto Chincoteague Pony stallion that is feral stallion on Assateague. His buyback donor is the Leonard Family of Chincoteague and he is the second stallion named in honor of Don Leonard.
DLS II is the sire of the first Misty descendant born on Assateague, CLG Maureen's Misty Moon, out of Winter Moon. Misty Moon was kept for the wild herd. Her full sister SCC Misty's Hailstorm was kept for the wild herd in 2023. Another Misty descendant daughter of his was kept for the wild herd in 2021, a palomino pinto out of WH Sundance named SCC Misty's Sunburst.
He is also the sire of 2019 chestnut pinto gelding Misty's After the Storm out of WH Wildfire, 2020 palomino pinto gelding Misty's Sunstone out of WH Sundance, 2021 bay pinto colt Misty's Mountain Moon out of Winter Moon, and 2021 chestnut pinto colt Misty's Inferno out of WH Wildfire, and 2022 Dancing in the Moonlight out of Winter Moon
