Gentle Breeze is the third known foal of Misty II. She is listed as being out of Beebe Breeze in the Pictorial Life Story of Misty. However, a photo of Gentle Breeze as a foal with Misty II proved that she is her daughter instead.
Gentle Breeze was born and raised on the Chincoteague Pony Farm and lived there for the first four years of her life. In 1988 she and Cyclone were purchased by Mike Pryor and went to live on his farm in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Keli Drew, one of the girls who worked on the farm, became a special friend of Gentle Breeze and nicknamed her Breezer. Gentle Breeze is pictured and mentioned in the book Windy of Chincoteague by Ron Keiper.
Gentle Breeze was a broodmare. She is the known dam of 2002 black pinto stallion Nightmist Legend sired by Nightmist, 2003 bay pinto stallion Pepsi sired by Nightmist, and her last foal was 2009 black pinto gelding Starry Night sired by her son Nightmist Legend. She may have had earlier foals.
Gentle Breeze died on May 9, 2016.
