Misty's Partly Cloudy was Wind Spirit's first foal and a chestnut pinto very much like her mother. Partly Cloudy was born on the Allen's farm in Pennsylvania and was named by Marguerite Henry. She was trained under saddle and competed in shows in Western and English pleasure. Young PC was the special mount of a young Kenneth Allen. She was also part of the Chincoteague Drill Team for many years. Partly Cloudy also spent several summers at the Chincoteague Pony Centre.
Partly Cloudy had her first foal in 1997 the bay gelding Misty's Moonlight sired by Lightning of Chincoteague. In 1999 she had the solid chestnut mare Misty's Desert Sun sired by Red Elvis. A few years later Partly Cloudy contracted EPM, a severe equine disease, and was ready to quit living. However through the Allens' excellent care and devotion Partly Cloudy was able to recover and bounce back to her normal spunky self.
Partly Cloudy had a good long life and never lost her attitude and spiciness. She passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2022 with her friend Oreo by her side.
